Octa’s Local Impact: CSR Initiatives in 2023

Octa significantly enhanced its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities in 2023 by carrying out 21 projects that had a lasting impact on local communities worldwide. These projects were designed to address emergency response needs and enhance educational opportunities for underprivileged students. Octa reached out to over 5,700 individuals, making meaningful changes in their lives. Octa Education for all, everywhere Recognizing the importance of education in shaping the future, Octa dedicated a significant part of its CSR efforts to improving educational opportunities for underprivileged students. This directly benefited 100 educational institutions and over 3,300 students. Here are some of the projects Octa carried out in 2023: In Malaysia , Octa helped supply educational centers across Malaysia with complex IT resources and sponsored the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum exam fees for Malaysian students under the guardianship of the educational organization Ideas Academ

European athletes win two gold medals at Vovinam world championship in Vietnam

Short for ‘Vo Viet Nam,’ literally ‘Vietnamese Martial Arts,’ vovinam is Vietnam’s acrobatic martial art, which achieved a significant milestone in 2008 with the establishment of the World Vovinam Federation (WVVF). Previously, Russia and Belarus had won two gold medals in combat events on Friday, the first day of the competition, which is being held by the WVVF from November 22 to 30 at Phu Tho Indoor Sports Hall in the city’s District 11, attracting more than 650 athletes from 35 countries and territories. The two victories on Monday added great pride, marking European athletes’ first gold medals in performance events. In the female ying-yang sword form team category, Italy’s Mazza Francesca, Di Nardi Iris Ida Carolina, Minniti Chiara, and Ibba Francesca came in first with 270 points, highlighting a grand achievement, considering they beat host Vietnam – the homeland of vovinam – by three points.
